​Compassionate Atlanta (CA) is building a movement around the concept of compassionate action. CA’s work is done in the community. Founded on the International Charter for Compassion, CA is a grassroots movement that engages local individuals, schools, businesses, organizations, congregations, and cities around the idea of compassionate action. Our work focuses on providing training, facilitating conversations, providing resources, and bringing greater compassion and kindness into our world, in turn creating healthier, safer, and more vibrant communities. In today’s world, now more than ever, we need compassionate action. This stretches from self-compassion to our families and neighbors all the way to our global place in the world. 

The Athens Anti-Discrimination Movement [AADM] advocates for racial and social justice, and strives to combat discrimination through education and activism.  The AADM offers various workshops, hosts monthly community forums, and facilitates difficult conversations around race and racism to help improve race relations and create equitable, inclusive environments. AADM has hosted the following Dialogues: Athens Justice Candidate Meet and Greet, Slavery and Symbols of Confederacy, Poverty and Racism Forum, Oxfam Hunger Banquet, End School To Prison Pipeline, Educators+Parents Round Table Discussion, and Criminal Justice-Jail Reform & Racism Round Table  

The Clay County Health Partnership is a community collaborative with the mission to “unify the people of Clay County through engagement, education, and resource development to achieve the best possible health for all." The Clay County Health Partnership organizes and facilitates the Welcoming Community Dialogues to bring together members of the community from varying demographic and socio-economic backgrounds to tackle some of the most pressing issues that the community-at-large view as important to the future of the county.

New Neighbors Network, Comer, GA, is a collaboration of refugees, immigrants, and American citizens who seek to foster community, build strong families, and contribute positively to our neighborhoods.  With a vision for refugee and immigrant neighbors to grow into a stable and dynamic community - confident, competent, and comfortable - while building new lives in rural Georgia. The mission is to walk with our refugee neighbors through complex processes of American life so they may gain more confidence and feel comfortable in American society, have access to more opportunities, and live healthier lives. NNN provides services, resources, and programs to educate, embolden, and encourage one another and hopes to cultivate each person’s gifts and strengths so all may flourish in their new homeland.      

ARK Refuge Ministries, Inc., LaGrange, GA,  is a nonprofit created to provide critical support in transitioning men from homelessness and prison, substance abuse, unemployment, health and disability issues and other challenges to successful reintegration into the community. For 25 years, ARK has been a vital force in LaGrange/Troup County, partnering with some 50 organizations to ensure that inclusiveness is not just a “dream,” but a plan in progress.  Located in the heart of LaGrange, ARK is in a singular position to “create space for community members of differing backgrounds, races and abilities to discuss the prospect of a society where everyone is treated with dignity and justice.                                                                                                       
Civil Bikes, Atlanta, GA,  hosts experiences bring people together in place to talk about history and culture to foster connection and support change.  Conversation is at the center of the work and as Nedra Deadwyler, the founder of Civil Bikes states, “I firmly believe that a conversation is a tool for change.” During Covid-19, they are evolving their scope of work to be responsive to goals that align with our vision to make everyone visible. 

Filling in the GAPS', LLC.,  Augusta, GA, mission is "healing individuals in our community through support, advocacy, and education.”  Filling the GAPS believes that positive mental health and emotional well-being are the foundation for personal success and growth. They believe that when individuals are provided with resources to fill in the gaps or missing pieces in their lives that they will be better able to move towards a life of success.                               

Abilities Discovered, Inc, Warner Robins, was established in 1987 as an alternative to segregated services.  They have 33 years of experience in organizing events, large and small, and in community engagement. Through the Welcoming Communities Dialogues, Abilities staff assist and support people with disabilities as well as those experiencing other disadvantages in their effort to increase the capacity of individuals supported to live the life they love. Their values are Person-Centered, Collaboration, Empowerment, Innovation, and Leadership. Their goal is to create opportunities that afford supported individuals to live, work, and participate fully in their communities. 

Art, Music, Purpose (AMP),  Rome, GA and is spreading a message of compassion and inclusivity through the arts in Rome and beyond. According to Founder and President, Jessie Reed, AMP’s provides a forum for acknowledging and responding to local, regional and national landmark events, and has witnessed firsthand the breadth and depth of both diversity and unity among Rome, Georgia’s community members.

Diversified Enterprises, Tifton, GA Mission is empowering individuals supported to live, work, and participate fully in their communities. Diversified Enterprises is proud of its diverse community base services and comprehensive array of residential supports that help people live independently, have meaningful employment and be a part of their community. Through the Welcoming Community Dialogues, their goal is to create opportunities for conversation and action that afford individuals supported to live, work, and participate fully in their communities.
