 Facilitator Training: ​

]Global Ubuntu trains 25 people as facilitators. Facilitators will facilitate in either the Prevention of Extremism or the Engaging Local Police track.

If you choose to be a facilitator at the  conference, 
please register for the facilitator training 

Accommodations and Benefits for Facilitators:
  • Attend the training and conference for free: however, a $50.00 deposit is required to hold your spot and show your commitment to the training process. Global Ubuntu will refund 50% of your deposit after the conference.   
  • Global Ubuntu pays for your meals.
  • Global Ubuntu will reward you $100.00 in appreciation of your taking part in this training course.
Who can be a facilitator? 
Anyone who has attended the Community Transformation Course or who has skills in Participatory Adult Education can apply to be a facilitator.
In return, if you choose to organize a dialogue in your local community around these issues, Global Ubuntu is committed to offering support.

The role of facilitator:  To facilitate a group of 10-15 people on the day of the conference, Saturday, November 5, 2016.
Facilitator Training Objectives:
  • Facilitators learn to create an agreement of nonviolent dialogue and communication
  • Facilitators learn to facilitate a process of analyzing violent behavior and extremism.
  • Facilitators learn how to facilitate a circle dialogue
  • Facilitators learn a process of action planning for creating a beloved community.

Co-Facilitator Training: 


Global Ubuntu trains 20 people as co-facilitators to support the facilitators in  the conference. 

If you chose to be a co-facilitator at the  conference, please register for the co-facilitator training on November 4 and for the conference on the Prevention of Extremism and violence. ​

Accommodations and Benefits: Why be a Co-Facilitator?
  • Co-facilitators will attend the training for free (though they  must register for the conference like others).  
  • Co-facilitators can apply to be a facilitator at the next conference.
Who can be Co-Facilitator?
  • Co-facilitators have to be comfortable and able to take notes on flip charts. 
  • In return, if they choose to organize a dialogue in their local communities, Global Ubuntu is committed to offering support.​
Co-Facilitator Training Objective 
Co-facilitators  will learn and participate in the following:
  • Creating the group agreement
  • The process of analyzing
  •  Circle dialogues
  •  The process of planning for the creation of beloved community.
Co-facilitators are invited to give feedback on the conference processes and facilitation.
